Star-Warden Cassian says
“Aurelion was the star's light. Celestar is its heart - the last of it, walking, keeping the core burning in the rock so the star never quite dies. As long as it stands, the Reach will keep breeding motes and hounds and knights.”
“When the core in its chest flares, fire bursts out round it: get out of the ring before it does. Break it, and bring me a splinter of the core. It is the end of the Starfall - and the end of the road for anyone in this world.”
