What's new

Patch notes

Every update as it reached SagaVale, newest first. The same notes go to the Discord server's #patch-notes channel.

Patch notes

Latest

New

  • Added Auto Hunt: your hero can now hunt automatically around the spot where you start it, in the open world, while the game stays open. Start it from the new AUTO button (or press F9), adjust settings with the gear icon, and track progress in the new Auto Hunt window and ring indicator. On phones, the Auto button sits beside the attack button: tap it to start or stop, hold it for the settings; the screen stays awake while you hunt and dims to a power saver after a minute untouched.
  • Auto Hunt kills reward the same gold, XP and drops as fighting manually, available from level 1.
  • Moving your hero yourself or travelling stops Auto Hunt.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Fixed the Warrior's sword grip and swing – the blade and wrist no longer twist awkwardly while holding or attacking.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Warrior and female Warrior characters have fully rebuilt animations, including combat stance, sword draw, swings, hit reactions, falling, sitting, shield handling, bowing, dancing, and riding, for smoother and more natural movement.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Fixed visible gaps and seams where roads met bases, dungeon entrances, and zone borders across several areas, including Starwatch, Hearthspring, and Broken Gate.

Patch notes

New

  • Warrior class heroes (both male and female) have been remodeled with a brand new look: full steel plate armor with layered shoulder and thigh pieces, greaves, armored boots, a flowing blue cape with bronze trim, a new sword, and a tapered shield.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Roads and paths now properly connect to dungeon entrances, including a fix for the Cinder Forge entrance that was floating above the ground.
  • Several coastal paths that stopped short of obstacles have been extended, and a couple of trees and rocks blocking the way have been moved aside.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • The female Archer now has a visibly distinct appearance, with her own hairstyle, face shape, and eyes instead of looking nearly identical to the male model.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Polished the login, registration, and server selection screens.

Patch notes

Changes

  • The Archer class has a brand-new look, with reworked elf heads, leather armor, boots, hood, quiver, and a recurved bow with leaf-shaped metal details for both male and female models.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Fixed a screen flicker caused by a flickering grain effect in the visuals, most noticeable on the dark ground in Astral Reach.

Patch notes

Changes

  • The Broken Gate has been completely rebuilt as a proper fortress set into the Titanfall Ruins' east gate, with a keep in the standing gate pylon, a terrace with shops (alchemist, quartermaster, Exchange), a Champions' Hall under the cracked lintel, a trophy hall inside a giant bronze titan helm, walls with timber breastworks, a west gatehouse with a portcullis, an east gate, a south-east postern, plus a forge, stables and a training ground.
  • The path to the Fallen King now starts from the new postern, and the nearby stormscale drake has repositioned to wait on the dunes south of him.

Patch notes

New

  • Gear of level 41 and above can now roll powerful new skill-boosting stats: Skill Power, Damage over Time, Cooldown Reduction, Area, Parry, Evasion, Damage Reduction and Healing Received.
  • Weapons, off-hands and helms can roll "+X% <skill> damage" or "-X% <skill> cooldown" bonuses tied to one of your class skills, and amulets can roll "+X% <school> damage" for one of the eight skill schools (Physical, Fire, Frost, Arcane, Storm, Nature, Poison, Shadow).
  • The item card now shows these new stats and bonus lines (including on vendor and recipe previews), the Character window lists which gear piece each characteristic comes from, and the action bar and Skills window display each skill's numbers with your currently worn gear.

Changes

  • These new skill-related bonuses now compete with existing stats for a roll slot (about one time in three, less often on warrior weapons/plate and archer bows), while Gold Find, Magic Find, attack speed and move speed keep their previous chances.
  • Damage over Time can't roll on warrior weapons or plate, and Evasion can't roll on plate.
  • Bonuses from gear are capped per skill: at most +100% damage or -50% cooldown reduction, with Skill Power capped at +100% and Damage over Time at +150%.
  • Gear below level 41 rolls exactly as before.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Ability charges now return correctly after relogging, instead of all refilling at once if you reconnected shortly before the last charge was due.
  • Recasting Rampart of Valor no longer heals the soak from the previous shield twice.
  • Wyrmfire's burning ground no longer appears behind walls where the mage can't actually see.
  • Snare Trap and Spring Snare now only catch enemies they can actually see.

Patch notes

New

  • At skill rank ★5, every class skill now permanently evolves into its own named ability with new effects and visuals (e.g. Skullsplitter, Pyroblast, Arrowstorm, Heartpiercer, and dozens more across all classes). Ultimates are unaffected.
  • Evolved skills bring new combat mechanics such as echoing strikes, pulls, lingering fields, charges, piercing shots, growing chain attacks, freezing fields, multi-target traps, kill-extended buffs, shields that heal on expiry, spreading marks and bleeds, and critical strikes from behind.
  • Added two new statuses: Weakened and Exposed.
  • Evolved skill names and effects now show in the action bar, the phone's skill arc, the loadout bar, the combat log, and the cast bar; skills with charges show a charge counter on their icon.
  • The Skills window now shows "Evolved at ★5 from ..." for evolved abilities, and the codex lists every evolution.

Changes

  • Evolved skills make high-level combat modestly faster (a few percent on their own, more when combined with star upgrades), without affecting enemy health.

Patch notes

New

  • The Broken Gate (Titanfall Ruins), Cinderhold (Ashen Mines), and Miragewell (Emberfall Wastes) have been completely rebuilt as unique, hand-crafted towns, each with its own distinct look and buildings.
  • A new ramp now lets you climb onto the Titanfall plateau from the east road, replacing a ledge that used to block the way.

Changes

  • NPCs no longer have coloured rings under their feet; their role is now shown through the interaction prompt, marker, quest icon, and dialog button instead.

Fixes

  • NPCs standing around no longer have their feet sliding or floating off the ground.

Patch notes

New

  • Skill mastery has arrived: past rank 10, skills can now be upgraded from ★1 to ★5 using Tomes of Mastery and gold in the Skills window.
  • Each mastery star adds 3% to a skill's power (its hit, a secondary blow and status strength); ultimates don't use mastery.
  • Tomes of Mastery drop from level-41+ elites, champions, zone bosses and dungeon bosses, from raid bosses, sometimes from world event wins, and always from the weekly task; they can be traded on the Market but not sold in the Emporium.

Changes

  • The loot preview and codex now show Tome of Mastery drop chances, and the tome has its own icon.
  • On phones, the Skills window now shows the rank and star buttons below the description instead of squeezing it.

Patch notes

New

  • At character creation you can now choose to play as male or female for every class, each with its own look and animations.

Changes

  • Eight safe towns – Blackpine Watch, Heron's Rest, Highwatch, Hearthspring, Candlewatch, The Last Vigil, Stormwatch and The Starwatch – have been rebuilt from scratch, each with its own unique buildings, walls and gates instead of shared layouts.
  • Stone, shingle, paving, mud, thatch, plank, iron and ice surfaces have been reworked across the game for a more realistic, less tiled look.
  • Daylight and shadows are sharper, fires now look like real flames instead of glowing blobs, lakes have gentle ripples, lava shows a cracked crust, steam and smoke look softer, and grass tufts now match the color of the ground they grow on.
  • Seasonal decorations now stand in the open in every rebuilt town.

Patch notes

New

  • Added 16 new skills for all classes, unlocked at levels 61, 71, 81, and 91: Warriors gain Challenging Shout, Rampart, Death Blow, and Heroic Leap; Mages gain Dragon's Breath, Arcane Missiles, Living Bomb, and Comet Storm; Archers gain Barrage, Repelling Shot, Lancing Arrow, and Starshot; Rogues gain Shiv, Shadow Veil, Mortal Wound, and Thousand Cuts.
  • These new skills bring channeled casts, line-targeted shots, a leap attack, a dash through enemies, knockbacks, bombs, falling comets, an execute that can refresh on a kill, poison effects, a damage-reflecting shield, and an evasion-boosting veil.

Changes

  • Visual effects for wide-area skills (Challenging Shout, Comet Storm, Shadow Veil) were toned down so they no longer wash out the screen, while keeping a clear edge so you can see their range.

Patch notes

New

  • Every class now gets three Ultimate abilities at level 50, one for each of its paths: Warrior (Indomitable, Bloodrage, Warlord's Banner), Mage (Solar Flare, Glacial Tomb, Arcane Ascension), Archer (Hawk's Wrath, Minefield, Galeforce), and Rogue (Plaguebringer, Umbral Form, Blade Waltz).
  • Ultimates are chosen out of combat in a new "Ultimates" list in the Skills window and go into a golden slot in your loadout (key 7, or the inner ring on phone).
  • Each talent branch now has an apex talent at the top ring (level 50, 3 points) that awakens its path's Ultimate with a stronger effect.

Changes

  • The talent tree is easier to read: branches are shown in coloured columns, each ring is a clear band showing its unlock requirement, and node shapes plus a legend make talent types easy to tell apart.
  • Several late-tier talents in each branch now improve earlier skills instead of adding flat bonuses.
  • Warlord's Banner's aura now shows as a glowing ring with a banner in the center instead of covering the whole area, and Minefield traps now only highlight their edges.

Fixes

  • Fixed a rare issue where a corrupted save setting could crash the game with a "Something went wrong" error.

Patch notes

New

  • A full rework of the skill system: your character sheet now shows ten core stats (Skill Power, Damage over Time, Area, Parry, Evasion, Damage Reduction, Healing Received, Cooldown Reduction, Effect Duration, Threat), each with its own cap.
  • Skills now rank up from 1 to 10 as you level, replacing the old three ranks (your existing skills convert automatically).
  • You can set up two skill loadouts of five skills each and switch between them outside of combat (press K).
  • From level 10, each class gains a visible combat rhythm shown as pips under your portrait (Retaliation, Arcane Charges, Concentration, or Combo Points depending on your class).
  • Your old path choices have grown into a full passive talent tree (press T): a shared core plus three branches per class, with points earned every level, from 19 one-time boss quests, and from trials. Free resets are available up to level 20, and unspent talent points are now always shown on your HUD and status bar.
  • Twelve new skills have been added, three per class, unlocking at levels 21, 41 and 51: Charge, Cleave and Sunder for Warriors; Frostbolt, Hailstorm and Arcane Barrier for Mages; Concussive Shot, Aimed Shot and Hunter's Mark for Archers; Rupture, Kidney Shot and Crimson Tempest for Rogues. These bring new effects like cone attacks, ground fields, charges to a target, aimed casts with a casting bar, interrupts, and the new Vulnerable status.
  • A fifth loadout slot opens at level 21.

Changes

  • Snare Trap's trigger radius has been increased to 2.2 meters.
  • Enemy health across the game has been rebalanced to match the new talent tree and skills, so difficulty stays in line with your character's growing power.

Patch notes

New

  • Starfall Exchange bankers have arrived at the four highest-tier bases, offering storage, mail and Market payouts (Bursar Anselm, Vault-warden Hjalmar, Ledger-keeper Aveline, Purser Zahra).

Changes

  • Repeating patrol quests no longer grant experience once you're 8+ levels above them.
  • Leech healing is now capped relative to your own max HP per second.
  • Raid boss rage now escalates every minute after 11 minutes, and raid kill credit requires meaningful participation and a level close to the boss.
  • Shatter, Flurry and Hunter's Rhythm had their bonus scaling reduced; Master Poisoner and Greater healing potions (now available from level 16) were adjusted.
  • Hallowtide prices doubled and every hero now receives festival candles directly in their bag.
  • Daily task difficulty and weekly dungeon requirements were tightened, and LFG, gathering and the /stuck command got tuning adjustments.
  • Raid boss lairs were moved further away from roads, gathering spots and quest areas so they no longer overlap.

Fixes

  • Fixed a Market exploit that could duplicate item stacks around a queued save and re-login.
  • Fixed the game sometimes showing a blank screen instead of a loading message during graphics issues.
  • Fixed Hallowtide decorations causing slowdowns and damage numbers overlapping on screen.
  • Fixed kill counts sometimes showing another player's kills as your own.
  • Applied several security improvements.

Patch notes

New

  • Market (open with F2): list up to 10 items for 48 hours, buy from anywhere, small 3% fee on sales, payouts and unsold items delivered by letter.
  • Daily and weekly tasks (open with F8), plus a 7-day login streak, rewarding gold, tier materials, Tempering Stones and guild reputation.
  • Group Finder (F3): post or browse requests for dungeons, raid bosses, world events and zones, and ask to join a party directly.
  • /stuck: if you're stuck in geometry, stand still for 5 seconds (once every 15 minutes) to be moved to open ground or the nearest sanctuary.
  • Browser notifications (opt-in, while away): raid boss returning, world event starting soon, Market sale, new letter.
  • A fight report now appears after every boss fight, showing damage, healing and deaths.
  • New emotes: /sit, /wave, /bow, /dance, with matching hero animations.
  • Hallowtide seasonal event (25 October – 8 November): collect Hallow Candles from creatures and trade them with Wenna the Lantern-Keeper near Starstone for an exclusive title, nameplate colour, aura and horse look; face the new Hollow Harvester boss at night in five zones, with festive decorations across the world.

Changes

  • Gear Score now shows much smaller, more readable numbers (a level-100 legendary set reads around 2,000 instead of 17,000); item stats themselves are unchanged.
  • /stuck can no longer be used to escape a monster that has just targeted you - it will interrupt the channel if a creature locks onto you mid-use.

Fixes

  • Fixed severe lag and disconnects ("flood" kicks) that players were experiencing during normal play.

Patch notes

New

  • You can now sign in or create your account using Discord, right next to the existing Google option on the login and account-creation screens.
  • Settings → Account has a new Discord section to connect or manage your Discord sign-in.

Patch notes

New

  • Guild emblems now have 6 new free symbols to choose from (phoenix, griffin, lion, stag, serpent, comet), bringing the total to 30 — available from guild level 3 and selectable in the Guild window. Emblems already chosen are unaffected.

Patch notes

Changes

  • The Paths screen has been redesigned: it now opens directly on your current tier, lets you navigate across all 12 levels, and shows a summary of your three paths and active bonuses with expandable lists of learned talents.
  • Before learning a talent you can now preview its exact effect compared to your current ability, plus a look at upcoming and alternative talents.
  • Improved readability and layout of the Paths screen on phones.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Item tooltips (including comparison cards) now stay correctly positioned near your cursor instead of drifting off to the side.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Monsters now carry and drop gear that better matches their role, family, and level, with Blackpine's named enemies getting unique signature items.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where some bosses (like Thornmaw) could appear as placeholder/fallback models until you manually refreshed the game.

Patch notes

New

  • A new raid boss, Thornmaw the Briar King, has appeared in Blackpine Woods (level 12). Face his unique abilities and summoned allies as his health drops, and defeat him for a chance at an amber amulet and a new achievement.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Behind-the-scenes update – nothing changes in play.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Fixed the sign-up screen on phones (Safari) being cut off and unscrollable, which hid the Create Account fields and button - the form now fits below the header and scrolls properly.

Patch notes

New

  • Ten raid bosses now await parties of three to five heroes in lairs from Hollow Mere to Titanfall, each with their own look and abilities. Bosses enrage after 11 minutes of combat, respawn 12-24 hours after being defeated, and heroes 9+ levels above a boss are turned away by its curse. The party that deals the most damage gets the spoils, plus bonus experience and points toward a new Raids ranking.
  • The world map now shows each raid boss's lair and live status (alive, respawn timer, or about to return) with an interactive card showing details, abilities, and rewards.
  • Guilds now level up from members' activity, unlocking clan skills the leader can choose to buff the whole guild, plus a guild emblem starting at level 3. A new Guilds ranking tracks guild reputation.
  • A Raid Bosses window and updated codex/guide entries let you track and learn about all the new bosses.

Changes

  • Raid bosses now have double health so groups have a fair chance before the enrage timer kicks in.
  • Guild level requirements have been increased significantly to match the new rewards.

Fixes

  • Raid bosses now properly reset when a group wipes, instead of keeping leftover health from the previous fight.
  • Cursed heroes (above a boss's level limit) no longer get experience, loot, reputation, or gold from a raid fight, and their crowd-control effects no longer land on the boss.
  • Guild daily reputation caps now correctly follow a member when they switch guilds.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Phones and tablets should run cooler with the same visuals, thanks to lighter sky lighting and smoother frame performance, especially on distant monsters and nameplates.

Patch notes

New

  • Every level from 4 to 99 now unlocks at least one new quest, so there's no more long stretch of grinding without quest progress.
  • One-time quest rewards now pay out five times more gold, and quest gear quality is shown in your quest log and codex (uncommon from Blackpine, rare from Hollow Mere onward).
  • Trees no longer block your view of your own character - the leaves near the camera open up a see-through window around your hero while keeping shadows and the minimap intact.

Changes

  • Rebalanced XP requirements in several high-level quests and zones (including Voidrend and Dragonspine areas) so leveling feels more consistent.
  • The Starwatch vigil patrol now repeats every hour instead of once a day.
  • Graphics performance improved, especially on phones - the game should run cooler and smoother without any loss in visual quality.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Trees now look like real 3D oaks, spruces, and snow-laden pines everywhere in the game, including on phones, tablets, and lower graphics settings (previously these used flat painted tree sprites).
  • The forest wall around the Starfall Rift is now also made of real 3D trees.

Patch notes

New

  • A fourth class has arrived: the Rogue! A hooded dagger-fighter who strikes hardest from behind.
  • Rogue abilities include Backstab, Shadowstep (leap behind an enemy), Envenom (poison that also heals you), Fan of Knives, and Smoke Bomb (stun and dodge).
  • Rogues grow through three paths: Assassination, Shadow, and Duelist.
  • Daggers now drop from enemies, are sold by merchants, and can be forged by smiths; Rogue quests reward daggers and light armour.
  • The codex now includes full Rogue class, skill, and item pages.

Patch notes

New

  • Rare Champion monsters now appear in the world and dungeons, marked with a special aura and tag. They hit much harder and have far more health, but reward extra experience, gold, and materials, and always drop a herb. New achievements track how many you defeat, from Glory Seeker to Hunter of Legends.
  • Four special herbs can now be found in the world: Life, Strength, Fury, and Swiftness. They're consumed instantly on pickup for a temporary boost to health, damage, attack speed, or movement speed.

Changes

  • Enemies now track who has angered them most and focus their attacks accordingly. A tank's taunting abilities (like Shield Bash) and sustained damage matter much more in holding an enemy's attention, and another player has to clearly outdamage you before an enemy switches targets.
  • Each realm now supports four character slots, and the Hall of Heroes has been rebuilt with four pedestals to match.

Fixes

  • Damage-over-time effects (bleed, burn, poison) no longer trigger a repeated attack animation or sound; they now show up cleanly in the combat log.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Rebalanced leveling: experience needed past level 15 has been reduced significantly, so reaching high levels takes much less time than before. Existing characters keep their level and relative progress under the new curve.
  • Quests give more experience in certain level ranges, while patrols give less.
  • Elites and world bosses from level 25 onward have more health and last longer in fights, while low-level and fast bosses hit noticeably softer.
  • Mages now have more health.
  • Legendary items drop less often.
  • Party members gain a bonus to experience earned together, and winning a world event now grants bonus experience based on your level.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Economy and login security improvements.
  • Gear comparison now correctly accounts for the off-hand slot a two-handed weapon removes.
  • Time Warp and the shorter global cooldown now work as intended.
  • Traps can no longer be stacked (max 4 at once).
  • The quest arrow now leads straight to the dungeon entrance, and quest/path text now shows the real numbers.

Fixes

  • Heroes no longer disappear behind the Sanctum arches or fort gates, and several other visual glitches (minimap lakes, name tags, Sanctum/wall flags, the ring following terrain on slopes) are fixed.
  • Targeted skills work again in Starfall Rift and the Moonwell Glade; boss abilities and enemy arrows can no longer hit through walls.
  • The Moonwell Glade keeps your paid entry across reconnects and now mails you any unclaimed boss loot.
  • The phone potion button now drinks your next health potion and shows the correct amount; several other phone UI issues (quantity selection, overlapping ability icons, enemy/boss health frame) are fixed.
  • Event and lair bosses now properly restart after a reset instead of staying stuck.
  • Monsters no longer spawn right on top of dungeon exits.
  • Numerous smaller fixes across quests, NPCs, and the interface on both desktop and phone.

Patch notes

New

  • The world map now shows exactly where your hero is, with an arrow pointing in the direction you're facing and a text line describing your location (zone, border between two zones, mountains, or dungeon).
  • You can zoom the world map in and out (mouse wheel, pinch, +/- buttons, or double-tap) down to a close-up view around your hero, and drag to pan around; a "Centre on me" option keeps your hero centered as you walk.
  • When zoomed in, you'll see zone names, dungeon entrances, party members, quest goals, and active events in their real positions on the map.

Fixes

  • Fixed overlapping map labels on phones, party members not showing up in border zones, the selected zone jumping back when crossing a zone line, missing coast enemies on the zone info card, hidden labels blocking clicks on pins, and the map appearing as a thin strip on phones held sideways.

Patch notes

New

  • Six new endgame dungeons (level 41-100), each with its own unique boss, loot set, and questline: Hrimfell Vault (Frostpeak, 46-50), The Cinder Forge (Emberfall, 56-60), The Drowned Catacombs (Shadowfen, 66-70), The Pit Below (Voidrend, 76-80), The Wyrm Hollows (Dragonspine, 86-90), and The Starfall Core (Astral Reach, 96-100), each with new zone art, codex entries, and a four-quest chain from a local NPC.
  • Three new world events with scheduled start times: The Rift Unbound (Voidrend, 16:00-17:00), The Storm Call (Dragonspine, 10:00-11:00), and The Eclipse (Astral Reach, midday), each with its own boss, unique abilities, and loot.
  • A fifth skill unlocks at level 30 for each class (Warrior's Earthquake, Mage's Chain Lightning, Ranger's Rain of Arrows), plus new path choices at levels 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100.
  • Elspeth the Watch Alchemist now stands in every safe town, brewing temporary elixirs (Might, Ironhide, Precision, Haste) from zone materials and gold.

Changes

  • Bosses now fight in multiple phases, gaining new, harder abilities as their health drops, and can call in reinforcements at key health thresholds.
  • Every boss-dropped unique item and full armor set now carries its own special combat effect (Leech, Shatter, Thorns, Frenzy, and more).
  • The world map, zone cards, and codex now show the countdown to the next world event, with a notification appearing when one is about to start.
  • Enhance and Reforge costs now scale in a straightforward, predictable way with item level instead of spiking sharply at higher levels.
  • Ranged classes (Mage, Ranger) must now stand still for a full attack cycle while chased before their shots fire at full speed - kiting without consequence is no longer possible.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Fixed the warrior's shield: it's now held and strapped correctly on the arm instead of clipping through the coat, armor, and fur.
  • The shield now hangs properly at the rider's side while riding, and falls beside the warrior if he's defeated, instead of floating oddly.
  • The hero statue on the left pedestal in the hall now animates correctly instead of standing frozen.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Monster spawns across the open world have been restored to full numbers and are now spread out more naturally — most are solitary, with pairs and the occasional trio instead of almost everyone clustering in groups.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Monster packs in the open world are more spread out, so you won't get swarmed by three enemies at once - groups are now smaller and spaced further apart, letting you fight them one at a time.

Patch notes

New

  • Horses are now live! Visit stablemaster Joren at any of the 12 safe towns to buy your first Watch Pony for 5,000 gold (requires level 10).
  • Call your horse with the X key or the horse button on phone.
  • Raise your horse through several stages up to the mighty Starborn Steed by collecting horseshoes and a boss relic.
  • New achievements for horse owners: Saddled, Courser, and Starborn.
  • A new Horse / Stable window lets you manage and upgrade your mount.

Patch notes

Changes

  • The in-game Codex and the public codex pages have been thoroughly reviewed and corrected to match the actual game: accurate zone lists, levels, enemy spawn locations, drop sources, and event timings.
  • Added a new shared Rules Guide covering combat, skills, loot, gear, banking, mail, trading, gathering, open world/instances, party/guild/chat commands, the clock and events, achievements, rankings, and photo mode.
  • Added a new Achievements section to the Codex.
  • The Blacksmith page now shows an enhancement and reforge table with gear score ranges.
  • Various text fixes across zones and quests (old zone names updated, quest wording corrected, clearer instance and travel descriptions).

Fixes

  • Fixed broken links on zone pages that previously failed to open the correct area pages.
  • Item lists on Codex pages are no longer capped, so all items can be shown.
  • Unbuilt NPCs no longer appear in the Codex.
  • Corrected event frequency text (recurring events now correctly show their real chance instead of claiming to always happen).

Patch notes

Changes

  • The mobile inventory has been redesigned: equipped gear now sits at the top, your bag below, and tapping an item opens a details sheet from the bottom with clear Equip/Use/Unequip, Change, Split, Lock, and Discard options.
  • Empty gear slots now suggest matching items from your bag based on power, with an upgrade hint when something better is available.
  • Character stats on phones now open as a details sheet showing your portrait, gear score, stat breakdowns, and set bonuses.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Phones now feel smoother: the game runs at full speed while you're moving or fighting, and eases down when you're standing still, instead of looking like it's lagging.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Fog has been removed from the game entirely – weather no longer includes a foggy state, and Shadowfen/Smoulderhorn no longer show misty haze (steam effects and snowy climates are unaffected).
  • The climate previously called "Fog-bound Fen" is now named "Murky Fen".
  • Frame rate is now automatically capped based on your device (lower on phones/tablets, higher on computers) instead of being a manual setting, so the "Frame rate limit" option has been removed from settings.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Phones and tablets now ease off to a lower frame rate while the scene is idle (no movement, no combat), which should keep devices noticeably cooler during longer play sessions. Touching the screen or moving instantly brings it back to full speed.
  • Capped rendering resolution on high-end phones to reduce heat buildup further, while keeping visuals sharp on tablets and lower-end devices.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Monster density increased in areas that felt empty, especially along lanes, coastlines, and remote pockets of zones.
  • Coastlines now curve naturally into the sea instead of ending in sharp, blocky edges.
  • Several grave sites across the world were redesigned (ash and swamp graves replacing old mounds) to better fit their surroundings.
  • Road and path surfaces in Astral Reach were retextured for a more natural look.

Fixes

  • Big freezes when crossing between regions are gone or much shorter.
  • Gold, steel, and other metal materials on NPCs, heroes, and monsters no longer appear incorrectly dark or black.
  • Kill quest markers and the Go button no longer lead you to monsters in the lanes that do not count toward the quest.
  • Fixed Mud Crawler's claws detaching from its arms during attacks.
  • Dying in a lane, enclave, or along the coast and then logging back in now respawns you safely at Starfall Landing instead of back among enemies.
  • Weather now matches the sky correctly instead of flickering when crossing the middle of a lane.
  • Traveling directly into lanes, enclaves, and open sea is no longer possible by mistake.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Clicking or tapping the minimap no longer moves your character (it's now view-only, like the world map). Zooming with + / − and scroll wheel still works.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Several coastal zones (Thornwither, Reedpine Marches, Sootwater Flats, Ashfall Rise, Frostheath, Brokenhelm Steppe, Skyrift Heights, Shardfall Plains) no longer have leftover walls blocking the border with their neighboring areas.
  • Enemies in the Greyspire Crags, Ironback Peaks and Smoulderhorn massifs now spawn with correct groups and levels.
  • Fixed two cave spider spawns in Blackpine Deep that were slightly misplaced.
  • Resource nodes now appear correctly in several previously affected zones and coastal areas.
  • Dying, respawning, chatting and triggering events in an annexed area now correctly count for its parent zone instead of teleporting you to the wrong location or missing zone events.
  • Fixed the "You are here" marker overlapping zone names on the world map, long zone names no longer overlap each other, and the map is now sized better on both desktop and phone.

Patch notes

New

  • The world is now one seamless continent - walk everywhere on foot, across zones, coastlines and open sea, with no loading screens in between.
  • Three new endgame zones: Voidrend Chasm (levels 71-80), Dragonspine Peaks (levels 81-90), and The Astral Reach (levels 91-100), each with new monsters, quests, NPCs and a new boss.
  • Titanfall Ruins, a new elite zone for levels 95-100, with its own quests and bosses including Vorgrim the Storm King and Mal'garoth the Pit Lord.
  • Previously empty stretches of wilderness now have monsters, roads and points of interest, and new roads now connect Blackpine Woods, Hollow Mere and Ashen Mines.

Changes

  • Level gates have been removed - there are no more invisible walls blocking travel; you can now walk into any zone (though the travel menu still checks your level). Zone entrances now simply show the zone name and recommended level.
  • The world map has been redrawn to show the new continent, coastlines, and zone borders.
  • Zone transitions and world loading are noticeably faster, especially on phones.

Fixes

  • Fixed visual seams and mismatched terrain where zones meet, and camera issues near some zone borders.

Patch notes

New

  • Added a public Terms of Use page (linked from the lobby and codex footer) covering fair play, account rules, and a ban on ripping or redistributing game content.
  • Opening the browser console (F12) now greets you with a stylized SagaVale banner and a warning not to paste code from strangers into it.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Heroes now stand still properly – no more swaying or feet sliding/sinking into the ground while idle.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Rain and snow no longer shift or slide when zooming the camera in or out.

Patch notes

New

  • Achievements now pop up as a short on-screen card with a medal, name, description, title and points when you earn them; click it to open your Achievements list. Multiple achievements queue up nicely, with a chime.

Changes

  • Tab-targeting now prioritizes enemies in front of the direction your character is facing, so pressing Tab twice cycles back to your first target instead of jumping far away.
  • Archer's Multishot has been renamed to Spread Shot (fires one arrow at up to three enemies in a 60° cone) - unchanged otherwise.
  • With the trade window open, double-clicking (or Enter) an item in your inventory now sends it into the trade offer instead of equipping it. Double-click still equips/uses items everywhere else.
  • The settings (⚙) button on the potion bar now properly toggles open/closed, and right-click on a slot lets you pick what's assigned there.

Fixes

  • Fixed mobs and NPCs on the plaza showing a false target under your cursor and sending your character running off toward a distant enemy instead.
  • Reduced small stutters that happened when moving the mouse over enemies/NPCs or clicking an NPC repeatedly to move.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Player counts are hidden for now: the title and server screens just say "Asteria online", and the server list shows each server's status (Online / Maintenance / Full, etc.) instead of a population count.

New

  • Added a "What's new" button (with the latest update's date and time) on the server list and Hall of Heroes, and a matching button in the in-game status bar and phone menu, opening a news window with all update notes; a dot marks unread updates and disappears once you've opened the window. The Esc menu now opens this window instead of a new tab.

Patch notes

New

  • Added a "What's new" page listing every patch note, newest first, with when each one landed in your own time zone, organized into New/Changes/Fixes sections and highlighting the latest update.
  • The title screen now has a "News" link, and the in-game menu (Esc) includes a "What's new" link that opens the news page in a new tab.

Patch notes

New

  • The title screen now has a new look: a live view of Starfall Sanctum at dusk behind the login and server selection screens, a server status indicator, and a "What's new" panel showing recent updates with an "All updates" link.
  • Returning players see a "Continue as <hero>" option, and new accounts with one open server go straight to the Hall of Heroes. The server list now shows population, ping, rates, and your characters per server.

Changes

  • Major overhaul of the PC interface: multiple windows (Character, Bag, Map, Codex, Achievements) can now be open at once without dimming or blocking the game world, can be dragged around, and are remembered between sessions.
  • Opening a vendor, bank, mailbox, or trade window now automatically opens your bag beside it, with right-click to sell, store, attach, or offer items.
  • Esc now closes the top window first, then your target, then opens the game menu (settings, key bindings, Edit interface, guide, photo, character select).
  • Target frame redesigned: centered at the top with status icons, an "Attacking you" indicator, cast bar with codex hints, and a wide health bar with warning markers for boss fights.
  • Loot and XP messages now appear in a feed in the bottom-right corner instead of popping up as toasts.
  • Action bar redesigned with radial cooldown timers, a ready ring, global cooldown indicator, out-of-range marks, and skill cards with a ground-targeting reach ring; slots can be rearranged by dragging.
  • Chat overhauled: hides when idle, is resizable, has All / World / Party / Guild / Whisper / Combat tabs, supports "/" commands, Tab-completion, and Shift+click to link items in chat.
  • Quest tracker now shows up to five tracked quests with progress and a "Go" button that walks you to the objective, plus an on-screen arrow pointing to the tracked quest.
  • Item dragging works across bag, gear, bank, vendor, trade, mail, and the potion bar, with bag search, filters, upgrade indicators, item locks, and bank sorting.
  • All keybindings can now be rebound in Controls, with support for two bindings per action and extra mouse buttons; Ctrl shortcuts are now left to the browser.
  • Mouse controls changed: holding left-click walks toward the cursor, right-click attacks enemies, hovering shows item cards, and Alt reveals all nearby loot labels.
  • Interface scale can now be adjusted (90/100/130%), and a new interface editor (via Esc → Edit interface) lets you move, hide, and resize UI frames.

Patch notes

New

  • On PC with the high graphics preset, oak and spruce trees now use detailed 3D models instead of flat sprites, with leafy canopies that sway in the wind and cast shadows. (Phones, low/medium settings, and other views still use sprites.)

Changes

  • PC graphics on high preset also gained ambient occlusion, softer sun shadow edges, and swaying tree canopies; medium and high presets now show a subtle outline glow and flash on hit (enemies flash white, your character flashes red).

Patch notes

Changes

  • Reduced-motion mode no longer hides notices or stops flashing effects.
  • The phone's cooldown indicator now displays the correct amount of time remaining.
  • World map fog now clears immediately after visiting a zone this session.
  • Enter no longer opens chat while a window is focused, and invite cards now appear above other windows.
  • Quest givers now have a gold ring above their heads.
  • "Reset to defaults" no longer clears your action and potion bars.
  • Phone arc labels no longer overlap.
  • Zone art now loads more efficiently, so memory usage stays much lower during long play sessions.

Fixes

  • Zone entry quests now correctly follow the quest before the boss instead of the boss quest itself.
  • Kill quest counts now match each zone's enemy population (bats 6, harpies 5, salamanders 7).
  • The archer's barrow quest now correctly rewards leather.
  • Removed a leftover reference to Sapper Brek from the Hexmother quest.
  • The Landing's registry text now correctly names the Sanctum.
  • Fixed a case where a wolf could end up standing on the path near the fort.
  • The world no longer crashes from a single error; it recovers automatically and saves everyone's progress if a serious issue occurs.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Redesigned the phone HUD: hero and enemy status now sit in two clean rows at the top, with round portraits, thicker health bars, and elite/boss markers no longer overlapping.
  • The quest tracker collapses neatly while you're fighting, and the minimap now shows on landscape phones too, with quick buttons for Menu, Bag, and World Map beneath it.
  • Combat controls are now arranged in a round layout: your class weapon attack, skills with visible names, a potion slot, and clear cooldown timers with a golden "ready" glow.
  • Nearby NPCs now show as a single named button instead of a text hint, and chat has a new round button with an unread counter and a preview of the latest message.
  • Overall smoother, more comfortable touch controls with a softer joystick and a reorganized menu (Hero / World / Social / System sections).

Patch notes

New

  • Added a new Time category of achievements tracking hours played, from your first hour up through 1,000 hours, with several unlocking titles ("the Devoted", "Old Hand", "the Tireless", "Eternal Wanderer").
  • The Achievements window now shows your total playtime (e.g. "12 h 34 min played") next to your earned count.
  • Added many more in-between achievement steps across almost every category (playtime, levels, quests, kills, elites, bosses, deaths, zones, Moonhorn, events, crafting, enhancing, gathering, trades), plus a first milestone for hunting each enemy family. There are now 129 achievements across 8 categories with 26 titles to earn.

Changes

  • Logging in now automatically credits any milestones you've already reached, so returning players should see newly unlocked steps right away.

Patch notes

Changes

  • The Achievements window has been redesigned: categories are listed on the left with their own colors and progress bars, medal cards show earned/unearned status with a glowing green check when completed, and each card lists its points, unlocked title, and how to earn it.
  • A new "Titles" page lists all 22 titles, letting you wear any title you've earned and see progress toward the ones you haven't.
  • Rankings now open in their own separate window instead of being part of the Achievements screen.
  • Clicking on the zone map no longer walks your character there (dragging and zooming still work); clicking a player in the people list now highlights them on the map instead of using a "Go" button.

Patch notes

New

  • A full World Map is now available (M or Menu > World Map): every zone is drawn on a hand-painted map with coastlines, forests, mountains, deserts, volcanoes, swamps and more. Unexplored zones are shown under fog, and picking a zone lights up the road to get there, shows its enemies, people, resources, active events, and lets you travel there directly from the card.
  • A new Zone tab shows a detailed top-down map of the zone you're currently in, with NPCs, doors to other zones, bosses, gathering spots, quest goals, your party, and other players — click to walk there or talk to someone.
  • Leaderboards are here: check the realm's top 50 players by level, Gear Score, bosses slain, or achievement points, plus top guilds, in a new Rankings tab (or its own menu tile). Your own rank is shown even if you're outside the top 50.
  • Achievements and titles added: 61 achievements to earn across leveling, quests, combat, bosses, exploration, crafting and social play, with points and 17 unlockable titles (like Veteran, Kingslayer, Wyrmslayer, Legend of SagaVale) that display over your name and in the inspect window. Check your progress in the new Achievements window (B or menu tile).
  • Photo Mode added (V or Menu > Photo): hides the whole interface for clean screenshots, with adjustable zoom and an option to show names. Press Save to capture and download the shot (or share it on phones).

Changes

  • On phones, quest progress is now shown in a compact tracker on the top bar instead of only in the journal.
  • M no longer toggles the minimap — the minimap can be turned on/off from Settings (or its own menu tile on phones).

Patch notes

Changes

  • The status bar at the top of the screen is now equally see-through on desktop as it already was on phones.

Patch notes

Changes

  • The status bar on phones is now more transparent, with clearer text so numbers stay readable over bright backgrounds like snow or stone.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Fixed the Archer's idle pose so she holds her bow upright at her hip instead of tilted with a floating arrow.
  • The bow now only shows a nocked arrow while actually firing, matching the timing of the shot.
  • Fixed the running animation so the bowstring stays straight and arrows appear correctly.
  • The Hurt animation no longer flips the Archer's bow.

Changes

  • Arrows in flight now look like proper 3D projectiles (shaft, tip, and fletching) instead of a flat pixelated sprite, for both players and enemy archers.

Patch notes

New

  • The bottom status bar (EXP, XP rate, Gear Score, bag slots, and gold) now shows on phones and tablets too, running along the bottom edge above the joystick and combat controls.

Changes

  • On phones the status bar is thinner, sits above the bottom safe area, and shows the EXP line along the top instead of the bottom.
  • On touch devices the status bar is read-only (no bag buttons), so tapping near it won't accidentally open your bag mid-fight.
  • Text on the status bar scales with your screen size, so everything still fits on smaller phones.
  • The phone player card no longer repeats your XP bar, XP numbers, or gold, making it more compact.

Patch notes

New

  • The Guild window now has separate Members and Manage tabs. Members shows the message of the day and each online member's zone; offline members show a clock with how long ago they were last seen (hover for the exact time).
  • Manage (leaders and deputies only) gathers join requests and mode, invitations, the message of the day, member ranks with last-online times, promote/demote, leadership hand-over, member removal, sorting by longest away, and disbanding the guild.
  • On phones the three guild tabs now fit neatly in one row, and member rows lay out more cleanly instead of cutting off information.

Fixes

  • Your own row in the guild roster is no longer shown as a greyed-out button.
  • Going invisible or being demoted now updates the guild roster immediately instead of leaving stale online status.

Patch notes

New

  • Added a status bar along the bottom of the screen on desktop, showing your XP progress (with the current XP bonus if it's not 100%, like the 150% rate in the Starfall Rift), Gear Score, gold, and your bag's used/total slots — click the bag or XP display to jump right to them.

Changes

  • The bag slot counter turns amber when you're down to 3 free slots or fewer, and red when full.
  • The player frame in the top-left no longer shows XP and gold, since that's now on the new bottom status bar (desktop only — phones are unchanged).

Patch notes

New

  • You can now sign in with Google.

Changes

  • Guild names must use Latin letters and numbers only, and can no longer impersonate staff or other guilds.
  • Ignoring a player now makes them appear offline to you everywhere, and inspecting a character only shows their location to friends or players in the same zone.
  • A trade offer now clears both players' Ready status if either side changes it afterward.
  • Loot rules for round-robin distribution and "highest damage gets the rare drop" now work correctly.

Fixes

  • Security improvements to prevent gold and item duplication, healing exploits, and other forms of cheating, including an issue where relogging could duplicate your inventory.
  • Gear can no longer be swapped in right before a killing blow to game loot rolls; equipment is locked for 6 seconds after combat.
  • Melee skills and area attacks now require a clear line of sight, and chasing enemies give up after 4 seconds if they can't reach you.
  • Moving now properly interrupts travel and gathering actions.
  • Mail, guild, reports, and friends list actions are more stable and no longer glitch under heavy use.

Patch notes

New

  • Sign in or register with Google using a single "Continue with Google" button — no separate account form needed.
  • New Google accounts start with a confirmed email and no password required.
  • Account management moved from the server-select screen into Settings → Account, where you can view your email, link/unlink Google, set a password, manage sessions, and delete your account.
  • A new public Privacy page is available (linked in the lobby and footer).

Changes

  • If you sign in with Google right after creating your account, you can delete it without needing a password first.
  • Resetting your password now also confirms your email address.
  • Using the Google sign-in link while playing brings you back to the same character, with the Account tab open showing the result.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Candlewatch's brazier towers no longer flicker or z-fight while walking near them at night.

Changes

  • On high graphics settings with a strong GPU, Candlewatch now lights more lanterns at night (8 above ground, 10 underground) for a brighter, more atmospheric town.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Zone downloads are smaller, so entering new areas is faster.
  • Shadows look sharper on the high graphics preset with a powerful GPU.
  • The lighting pool in Candlewatch's yard (Shadowfen) no longer flickers while walking through it.

Fixes

  • Fixed occasional shadow edge shimmering while walking around in sunlight.

Patch notes

New

  • Added Moonwell Glade, a second daily boss lair – a night fey glade with glowing mushrooms, a fairy ring, moonstones and moss-covered silverbarks. Ten guards protect the glade and stay dead once defeated, guarding Moonhorn, the moon stag boss.
  • Moonwell Glade is a solo instance – even in a party, each character fights their own copy at their own level. Entry costs 50 gold per level, and Moonhorn can be challenged once per UTC day with unlimited attempts. Rewards are lighter than world bosses: a personal loot pile for everyone who fought, plus a 10% chance at a unique pendant.

Changes

  • World bosses now slowly regenerate health during the fight (Moonhorn is unaffected). Solo fights against them run a bit longer; parties will barely notice.
  • Moonhorn has much more health than before, and the fight now takes noticeably longer to win.
  • Players can no longer join a party's instance copy if it was opened for characters more than 8 levels below them (applies to both Moonwell Glade and the Rift).

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Fixed the archer leaning oddly to the side while shooting; she now turns naturally from the hips when aiming sideways.
  • Fixed the archer's running animation so she holds the bow properly in both hands at the ready instead of letting it dangle and drag near her legs.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Archer's shooting animation reworked: she now stands side-on with a straight posture, draws the bowstring properly to her jaw, and the arrow no longer clips through her hand — the arrow now releases in sync with the animation.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Blackpine Woods, Hollow Mere, Ashen Mines, Grimtusk, Emberfall and Shadowfen now have more enemies, so kill quests in these zones no longer ask for more monsters than are actually there.
  • Nature props (boulders, rocks, stumps, bushes) across these zones have a new, more natural look.
  • Ground terrain now blends more smoothly, with paths and patches no longer showing odd stair-step or "parquet" edges.
  • The Hollow Mere bluff now slopes properly into the ground and can no longer be walked under; a wisp there was moved out from underneath it.
  • Two Emberfall revenants were relocated off an overly steep slope.
  • Frostpeak fjord ice no longer shows a blocky, tiled look.

Patch notes

Changes

  • The loot table now shows your daily Tempering Stone progress right on the stone's row (e.g. "7/20"), and shows "20/20" with 0% drop chance once you've hit the daily cap.
  • Picking up a Tempering Stone no longer pops up a toast notification.

Patch notes

New

  • Tempering Stones now drop from monsters (chance increases with enemy level; elites drop 4x more, bosses drop 1-2 stones with a 62-100% chance; grey/trivial kills give none). Picking one up shows a message with your progress for the day.
  • Every enhancement attempt now costs 1-8 Tempering Stones depending on the + level you're aiming for.
  • Your account can pick up at most 20 Tempering Stones per day (shared across all your characters, resets at midnight UTC).

Fixes

  • The forge window no longer shows a "found today X/20" line, since that looked like a smithing limit rather than a farming limit. Your daily stone count is now shown when you pick one up instead.

Patch notes

New

  • Guild leaders can now set their guild to "Open" (instant join) or "By approval" (send a join request for the leader/deputies to accept or decline).
  • Guild join requests can be reviewed by the leader and deputies, and players can cancel their own pending request (up to 3 requests at a time, each valid for 7 days).
  • The officer rank is now called "Deputy", and guild leaders can assign it with a dedicated button.

Patch notes

New

  • Two brand new zones: Shadowfen Necropolis (levels 61-70) with the Black Mere, Black Cathedral, Ossuary, and the Ossarion the Bone Colossus event boss; and Emberfall Wastes (levels 51-60) with the Slagrun lava river, Ashen Court, and the Slag Wyrm event featuring boss Ignareth.
  • A new peaceful Starfall event at the Landing (8-10 AM) where a fallen star summons Starmaw, a star-touched wolf boss, plus a new Old Barrow dungeon in Blackpine Woods with its own quests and the Barrow Wakes event.
  • Guilds are here: found one for gold, set ranks, invite members, chat, and show your guild tag next to your name (open the new Guild window with Y).
  • Friends list, ignore list, player inspect, a chat profanity filter, and a unified player menu in chat and the world.
  • Player trade window with double confirmation for safe item and gold swaps, plus mail service at Starfall Exchange bankers for sending gold and items.
  • Party improvements: choose a loot rule, promote/kick members from the menu (works on phones too), and a shared Starfall Rift instance per party.
  • Gathering nodes (ore veins, bog blooms, bone piles, frost crystals) now appear across the open zones.
  • New path choices unlock at levels 30, 40 and 50; the Paths window is also easier to read on phones.
  • Gold sinks: enhance gear at the smith for bonus stats, reforge affixes, expand your backpack and stash, and buy back sold items from merchants.
  • Account management additions: e-mail confirmation, password change, sign out everywhere, and account deletion.
  • Player reporting tool available from the player menu.
  • Starfall Exchange bankers are now available in every safe town.

Changes

  • Enhancement success chances adjusted: +1 to +3 always succeed, then dropping to 80/60/45/30/25/20/10% at higher tiers.

Fixes

  • Shadowfen's chapel and cathedral roofs no longer look inverted (they were pitched upside-down).

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Improved the character-select screen layout on tablets, narrow windows, and short or horizontal phone screens for a cleaner, better-fitting display.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Redesigned the character-select screen in the Hall of Heroes for both PC and phone: pick a character from a name plate under each pedestal (click to select, double-click to enter, or click empty to create a new one), with a single info panel below showing portrait, class, level, XP to next level, last played time, and an "Enter world" button. Arrow keys switch between characters and Enter confirms.
  • On phone, the old dots were replaced with tabs showing each character's portrait, name, and level.

Patch notes

New

  • The character-select screen (Hall of Heroes) has been completely rebuilt: a night-time marble hall with three glowing rune pedestals for your heroes, fire braziers, waving banners, a map table, a weapons corner, and an archway overlooking a moonlit valley with a river, village lights, a castle, and mountains.

Changes

  • Heroes now appear much larger on their pedestals, with character cards displayed beneath them (on phones, one pedestal is shown at a time).
  • The night sky features a moon and a shooting star, with flickering torches and embers, and pressing "Play" zooms the camera in on your chosen hero.
  • The hall now loads faster on entry.

Patch notes

New

  • Added snow-covered pine trees and frosty dead trees to the Frostpeak Mountains for a wintery look.

Patch notes

New

  • A new zone, Frostpeak Mountains, is now open for levels 41–50, featuring a hand-sculpted snowy mountain landscape, a glacier, a frozen fjord with a longship, and Hrimgar's Hall with an ice throne.
  • Meet new NPCs in Hearthspring: Elder Ragna, Huscarl Eyvind, the trader Furrier Hakon, and Runecarver Idun, with 16 new quests from "The Frostpeak pass" up to "Jarl Hrimgar," rewarding the level 50 Hrimgar's Frost Torc.
  • A new evening event, The Wild Hunt (19:00–21:00), brings a new boss, Ulfhedin the Wild Huntsman, riding a ghostly elk, dropping the unique Huntsman's Horn Ring.

Changes

  • Terrain in Frostpeak Mountains is fully walkable, with characters, enemies, and effects following the hills and slopes naturally.

Fixes

  • Various visual touch-ups across Frostpeak Mountains: cleaner steam/smoke effects, better-looking trails, frost-covered shorelines, snow-capped roofs, and more natural rocks and stones.
  • Closed a gap near the northern wall that let players sneak past it over the glacier.

Patch notes

New

  • On desktop, you can now zoom the camera in and out with the mouse wheel (works alongside the existing "Camera distance" setting, and trackpad pinch-zoom is also supported).

Changes

  • Shadows now stay visible even when fully zoomed out.

Patch notes

New

  • Starfall Landing has been transformed into Starfall Sanctum – a full citadel around the Landing platform, with an eight-sided wall, guard towers, grand gates, a marketplace, forge, treasury, fountain garden, and three towering statues of the Vanguard, Arcanist, and Ranger.
  • Arriving at Starfall Sanctum for the first time now plays a short cinematic sweeping over the citadel before settling on your hero, with the title "Starfall Sanctum – Where every saga begins" (skipped automatically if you use reduced motion).

Changes

  • The number of SagaVale banners around the Sanctum has been reduced for a cleaner look, and they now wave gently in the wind.
  • Camera tracking is smoother and looks slightly ahead of your hero (adjustable via the "Camera look-ahead" setting), and it now snaps into place instantly after respawning, traveling, or teleporting.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Combat rebalanced: enemy health now scales more with your level, rank, and path — common enemies get noticeably tougher the deeper you progress (especially past level 21), and bosses hit much harder and take longer to bring down solo. Beating a boss alone now takes real gear and skill.
  • Item drop rates reworked: full epic/legendary gear sets used to drop far too quickly for how long a zone takes to clear. Rare sets now take a few hours to farm, epic sets take longer, and legendary drops are much rarer.
  • Quest XP now scales with the quest's level, so higher-level quests give a much bigger XP reward than before.
  • Gold sinks increased: rank-ups cost significantly more gold, and blacksmith crafting costs are noticeably higher.

Patch notes

New

  • On phones, long-press the Potion button (or use "Auto potion" in the Menu) to open a panel where you can choose which potion to auto-drink and set an HP % threshold for automatic drinking.

Changes

  • The Potion button now shows a small badge with your auto-drink threshold (e.g. "≤80%"), and drinking manually while auto-drink is off gives a one-time reminder about the long-press option.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Gear Score values have been rescaled to be lower across the board (for example, the Blackpine Broadsword now shows 23 instead of 70, and the Bog Iron Longsword 34 instead of 102). The relative power between items stays the same, just the numbers are smaller.

Patch notes

New

  • Added Gear Score to items and your character sheet, showing an overall power rating based on stats.
  • PC hotbars reworked: attack and ability slots (1-6) can be freely assigned with right-click, plus a separate potion bar (Q/Z) with auto-use settings for HP thresholds and buff timers.
  • The forge now shows a short crafting animation before revealing the result on a proper item card, with options to craft again or go back.
  • You can now discard any item, including unique ones (with a confirmation warning), and bank items can be discarded directly from the bank window.

Changes

  • Item grades and stat budgets rebalanced across all gear levels; many previously underpowered green/blue items now hit their intended stat range, and several rare uniques were upgraded to epic.
  • Ranged classes (Mage, Archer) now only fire while standing still; moving cancels the shot windup.
  • Tab targeting now selects the nearest enemy first, and using an ability on a target automatically starts auto-attacking it.
  • Quest markers are now large and golden, NPC name tags are bigger and easier to read, and your selected enemy is now clearly highlighted with a golden ring and marker.
  • The travel progress bar is now easier to read with a darker background and outlined text.

Fixes

  • Fixed the player's ring visually clipping under road tiles.
  • Fixed notifications stacking on top of each other instead of appearing in order.
  • Fixed windows (forge, shop, bank, inventory) sometimes overlapping so items couldn't be clicked.
  • Fixed an issue where a defeated enemy could briefly cause a display glitch.
  • Fixed mage running animation and staff-holding pose, along with foot placement issues on several hero and NPC models.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Typing an unknown chat command (like /who or /help) now shows an instant reply in the chat window instead of doing nothing, and the input box hints "Type a message or /help".

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Hotkeys, movement, and window-closing shortcuts (I / J / L) now work correctly on all keyboard layouts, including Lithuanian, AZERTY, and Cyrillic keyboards.

Patch notes

Fixes

  • Loot piles reserved for party members no longer show as locked to their party — they now appear pickable with a loot beam, and can be grabbed normally.

Patch notes

Changes

  • Enemies that lose track of you now chase whoever dealt them the most damage instead.
  • Unique items can now be dropped (with a confirmation prompt) but can no longer be sold.
  • Mute now applies to your whole account, and chat filtering has been improved.
  • Party XP no longer counts dead or too-low-level members, and invites are now limited.
  • Enemies now reset properly when you evade them, and attacks require a clear line of sight.
  • The Rift now closes at midnight.
  • Fast attacks hit harder (~+35% risk) while ranged attacks are slightly weaker (~-7.5% risk).

Fixes

  • Character names must now use standard letters only, preventing lookalike name tricks.
  • Captcha is now easier to read and only appears after repeated failed login attempts.
  • Added account security improvements including a "log out everywhere" option and password change.
  • Your own slash commands are no longer visible to other players in chat.
wlog
