Where to get it
Ashen equipment (Tier 4 · Ashen Mines): any creature of the tier can drop it – regular 5%, elite 20%, boss 50%, rare or better. The piece takes the creature's level – 20 to 30 in the world; the grade is rolled on the kill, and 55% of drops are picked for the killer's class. Moonhorn, the daily lair boss, rolls lower: a piece at your level 50% of the kills – uncommon 45%, rare 50%, epic 5% – and a set piece 5% of the time.
Hunt in Ashen Mines, Sootwater Flats, Ashfall Rise, Greyspire Crags, Ironback Peaks.
Reward of The cold furnace.
Crafted by the smith for 2520 gold from Goblin Trinket ×6, Mine Crystal ×2 – rare or better, at your level up to 30. See crafting.
Salvage
Broken down at the smith into Goblin Trinket ×1 and, 10% of the time, Mine Crystal ×1. Higher grades yield more.
