Sun-priestess Nahla says
“He was a man once: a sultan who wanted to rule for ever, and found in the volcano a fire that promised it. On the night he took it, Ashkarn burned. He has sat on that throne since, a fire that remembers a crown.”
“When he points at you, the sun falls where you stand - step out of the light before it lands. Put him out. Then the well can be a shrine again.”
